Once an Android exclusive, Google’s location-based search feature Google Now is available for download today on the iPhone and iPad.
Google Now personalizes the search bar with things like live flight updates, weather and traffic conditions, breaking news and sports highlights, which appear at the top of the search results on Google.
When the iOS user is traveling out of the country, this extends to showing the local currency and language, as well as displaying nearby restaurants and local attractions.
This feature of Google’s Search app is designed to show “the right information at just the right time,” according to the product description.
