Fixya Launches 6ya Mobile Troubleshooting App on iOS

The 6ya app connects users with repair experts who offer advice in six minutes or less.

Community-based troubleshooting company Fixya has announced its new iOS app, 6ya, which looks to take the frustration out of many common repairs by connecting users with experts when something breaks.

The 6ya platform offers video or audio chats with experts concerning four categories of products: cars and trucks, computers and internet, smartphones and tablets and home appliances. The subscription-based service costs $6 per month, with that price including unlimited chats and advice from experts, who are available 24 hours a day, and will address each issue within six minutes.

During each call, the expert will determine whether the product can be fixed remotely, requires the help of an actual onsite technician, or must be entirely replaced. Users can rate their expert once each call is finished.

In a statement, Yaniv Bensadon, CEO and founder of 6ya, commented on the app:

There’s a void in the market for a service that quickly diagnoses what’s keeping you from enjoying the stuff you’ve bought. Literally no one has addressed this problem from this angle before. Our promise to deliver on-demand tech fixes in six minutes or less from product experts 24/7 can change the multi-billion dollar repair industry.

The 6ya app is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store. It will operate as a separate business unit from the main Fixya platform, but will leverage Fixya’s community of 900,000 experts.
