Video-sharing site Izlesene has grown its user base 16-fold after upgrading to Facebook’s open graph actions.
Izlesene has seen its monthly average users skyrocket from 250,000 before launching with open graph actions to more than four million, with the number of videos viewed daily by users more than tripling.
The Facebook developer blog pointed to Izlesene’s use of the “watch” open graph action, and detailed tests conducted by the video site to optimize conversion:
Izlesene optimized conversion for the auth dialog by performing A/B tests. Izlesene discovered that some people who initially declined the auth dialog will accept it if they are given more context.
Presenting the dialog again with a facepile of friends who use the app and a clear call to action made the experience relevant and familiar, which increased conversion.
Open graph plugins also enable Izlesene to showcase recently watched videos along with the most popular ones.
