Earlier this week an episode of “MTV Diaries” focused exclusively on Facebook, the company. In addition to providing insight about the company, the show’s one of the best recruiting promotions I’ve ever seen.
The video, which is now available online, documents the average day of a few Facebook employees during a hackathon and an event during which users of the service communicated to Facebook engineers how grateful they were for the work being done. While an accurate depiction of the massive impact Facebook has had on society, it’s also a hell of a marketing campaign for the company which is aggressively looking to expand its employee base.
