The beverage industry is seizing the opportunities presented by Facebook’s new timeline profile, as Schweppes followed Mountain Dew‘s lead by launching an application to help users create their cover images.
Unlike Mountain Dew’s cover offering, however, Schweppes Profile App 2.0 allows users to customize their entire profile.
The app, created by social media marketing agency Super Social, allows users to choose pictures that they want to appear on their profile page, and to manipulate them with tools including filters and add-ons.
It also helps users create their cover images.
The original Schweppes Profile App, created as a result of Facebook’s profile page layout change in late 2010, was used by 105,000 people.
