Creative Mobile has announced the launch of its new Facebook game, Drag Racing Social. The title is based on the popular Drag Racing series of mobile games on iOS and Android, and sees players using their spacebar and mouse to race against computer opponents in a fight to be the best drag racer around.
In each one-on-one race, players hold the space bar to charge their engine before the race begins. After the race starts, users must watch their gauges and shift at the appropriate time for a boost, without over-revving their engine along the way.
Players earn money as they win races, and can take that back to the garage to upgrade their ride with better nitrous, engines, turbo capabilities, intake systems, gearboxes, body designs and wheel types. Users can also spend money to paint their vehicle or wheels for visual upgrades.
A quest series guides players through the game’s computer-opponent story races, while a separate Racers Battle mode sees users trying the same car as their real-world opponent, in a race of skill and timing, rather than upgrades.
An energy system limits the number of races possible in a single session, but players can purchase additional money and fuel using premium currency or real money.
