BUZZMEDIA Acquires The Frisky from Turner

BUZZMEDIA was feeling a little frisky Friday morning, announcing its acquisition of The Frisky, a site focusing on entertainment news, celebrity, fashion, and women’s lifestyle, from Turner Broadcasting System.

The cable programmer launched The Frisky in 2008, and it drew an average of more than 2 million readers per month in 2010, according to comScore. Turner said it is shifting its focus to digital properties that tie more closely to its news, entertainment, and sports properties.
