AMC Apologizes for Spoiling ‘The Walking Dead’ for West Coast Facebook Fans

Unlike the page administrators of the Facebook page (SPOILER ALERT) for AMC drama series The Walking Dead, AllFacebook.com will be kind enough to warn you that there is a spoiler at the end of this post.

The midseason finale of the series aired on the cable network Sunday night, and after the episode aired on the East Coast, the photo below (SPOILER ALERT) appeared on The Walking Dead Facebook page. However, the show had not yet aired on the West Coast, prompting outrage from fans of the series who learned of a major plot development prior to being able to view the show.

UPDATED: An apology was posted to The Walking Dead page Monday. It read:

We heard your feedback to last night’s post, and we’re sorry. With zero negative intent, we jumped the gun and put up a spoiler. Please know we’re going to work to ensure that, in the future, possible spoilers by official AMC social feeds are killed before they can infect, certainly before the West Coast (U.S.) broadcast of The Walking Dead. As always, thank you for watching, and keep the comments coming. We appreciate all of your support. ‪#‎RIPSpoiler
