It’s National Poetry Month! And – arguably, a piece of flash fiction IS a poem, so what better time to host our second AllTwitter Flash Fiction (poetry) contest?
Do you have what it takes to be crowned champion? Read on to find out!
How did he win?
Although we had quite a few fantastic submissions, this person’s was the most fantastic-est by far. Not only because he received the most retweets, but because this person, as a whole, is a true flash fiction ninja.
Now, you don’t HAVE to be “a magical being, a writer (screenplays, short stories, poetry, twitfic, as well as working on a couple novels), an award winning film-maker, and a chronic Instagramer” like him to win, though it probably couldn’t hurt.
To win, you simply need to have the most retweets. A more in-depth explanation of the rules follows:
- Write a kickass piece of flash fiction (any topic) in 140 characters or less and add the AllTwitter Flash Fiction hashtag to the tweet, #ATFF. No need to @mention AllTwitter.
- Do NOT make it longer than one tweet or you will be disqualified.
- Enter as many times as you want – as long as each tweet is its own distinct piece of flash fiction (spammers trying to float a novel will be aggressively reported for spam)
- The tweet with the most retweets wins (that’s how folks will vote)
The winner will be featured in his/her own post on AllTwitter so all may bow to your awesomeness.
Also, please note that we reserve the right to disqualify crap writing retweeted from spam accounts, so a true writer really wins.
And finally, don’t despair if you see someone surpassing you in the retweet department. Even if you don’t win, we also shared quite a few notable mentions last time around, as well as a runner up – and that’s not too shabby either!
When does the contest run? The ENTIRE month of April, starting . . . NOW! Good luck!
