The Skittles sheep boys will be bleating their approval of this new Old Spice spot from Wieden + Kennedy—advertising’s first recognition in a while of the all-too- often-marginalized human/animal hybrid segment. VFXWorld has a little background on how Digital Domain made the centaur look real. “Of course the centaur needed to look plausible, but an effect like this can get creepy really quickly,” says DD’s Vernon Wilbert. “The suds made it work. It worked better because the suds and the soap go places where they shouldn’t.
