Let me say right up front that the "point" of this Microsoft ad is preposterous and misguided. The idea is that the owner of a successful bakery has never realized the potential for business computing until she witnessed the power of Microsoft Office 2007. (Yep, a new spot highlighting last year’s model.) It’s a very 1980s-era sales push that makes Office look as convoluted as ever. There, I’ve bashed it. Now, let me say that I’d watch a 15-minute infomercial for adjustable-rate mortgages if it starred Amy Sedaris and a bunch of bunny rabbits.
