Rhett & Link, the North Carolina comedy duo who enjoy making goofy local TV commercials in their spare time, are once again offering their pro-bono ad-making services to lucky small businesses across America. They've had great success in the past, with the ad, posted below, for Red House Furniture ("We make furniture for black people and white people!") becoming a big online hit earlier this year. Now, people can nominate their favorite local business in the Rhett & Link I Love Local Commercials contest. Risk-management company MicroBilt is sponsoring the whole thing, and will pick the businesses that will receive Rhett & Link's services. "We've always been fascinated by bad local commercials," says Rhett McLaughlin. "There aren't many––make that any––mainstream companies who would be willing to give us the latitude and money to make the 'Red House' commercial that spoofed racial stereotypes or the TDM Auto Sales spot featuring a Cuban gynecologist-turned-used-car-dealer. But MicroBilt did, and now they're coming back for more."
