Remote Alaska towns get pizza delivery

Alaska_2B4UDIE, try having your pizza delivered via airplane. That’s what people in extreme northwest Alaska are doing now that Airport Pizza has opened in Nome, Alaska. Airport Pizza delivers pies via Frontier Flying Service airplanes (tagline: “You buy. We fly”) to towns that until now had no pizza-delivery options. And while the pizza may not get there in 30 minutes (and it may not even be warm upon arrival), residents in the region are ecstatic. “It’s so good. I love it,” says one. “All kinds of sauces, good ingredients, like artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, really fresh, good garlic. It is the latest craze. Everyone’s eating it up.”
