Red Bull has some experience with teams that are unlikely to take off

Redbullgame_1Now we understand why Red Bull bought the MetroStars. It’s because Red Bull is really, really into Flugtag. What is Flugtag? “A contest to design and build the most outrageous machine you can possibly think of. Then (and here’s the good part) fly it,” according to RedBullFlugtagUSA.com. So it makes sense. The Metros were the most awkward, lumbering, strangely designed beast in Major League Soccer—it’s in Red Bull’s nature to try to get them off the ground. We arrived at this belated (and belabored) insight while visiting Adverblog this morning and seeing the advergame that The Barbarian Group has created for Red Bull Flugtag.
