You won’t be able to buy Beatles music from iTunes for some time yet, but it looks like Paul McCartney, at least, has gotten over the battle of the Apples. This new iPod + iTunes commercial, featuring McCartney’s new song “Dance Tonight,” is hypnotic. Pitchfork doesn’t think much of the tune, though, calling it “an egregiously innocuous mandolin-folk hootenanny” that’s “perhaps the least exciting, least arousing song about moving to music since Genesis’ ‘I Can’t Dance.’
