They say older folks don’t really dig the Internet. But “Alphonse A.” (shown here) of New Haven, Conn., might beg to differ. He is one of 30 people so far who have entered the New Faces of Timex contest, an online initiative by the watch maker to find eight faces to appear in its next print campaign. As of this morning, Alphonse and 29 others had uploaded their photos to the contest Web site. But while we admire Alphonse’s technical savvy, we are not optimistic about his chances. According to DM News, Timex wants to use this campaign to attract consumers younger than 34.
