Last week, we did a post about an Applebee’s commercial featuring dead celeb, Sammy Davis Jr.; now we hear that General Motors is resurrecting Marilyn Monroe and Riddler/celeb impersonator Frank Gorshin in a commercial that picks up
where the “Then and Now” spot that aired during the Winter Olympics left off. The commercial from McCann Erickson, which doesn’t yet appear to be online, breaks tomorrow night during Survivor: Panama—Exile Island, and you can read a little more about what GM is saying about it here and here. In the meantime, we’ll just try to figure out what it means when a dead celebrity impersonator impersonates a dead celebrity.
