I think it’s worth acknowledging that CBS is ending The King of Queens after nine seasons (I know, it flew by for me, too) while NBC is keeping Law & Order on for its 18th season. The first article claims that The King of Queens “falls short of being one of TV’s great classic sitcoms,” which is funnier and truer than they intended, but it seems almost unjust that it gets the ax when one of the most formulaic shows in TV history gets to extend its mediocrity for another year.
