Hold on, Melissa Leo. Emmy campaigners aren't finished poking fun at you. In the process, they're turning typically staid advertising into talk pieces, at least in industry circles. Comedian and TV host Jimmy Kimmel, beating the drum for his late-night Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC, squeezed himself into a sparkly black cocktail dress to recreate Leo's now-infamous Oscars "For your consideration" self-promotion ad. (She eventually won best supporting actress for The Fighter, which might have been due in part to her self-financed and highly controversial print ads.) Kimmel, sporting some serious bedroom eyes, strikes the same pose Leo did, asking Emmy voters to "consider" his chat show. And unlike Pee-wee Herman before him, who reportedly just photoshopped his head onto a different Leo ad, Kimmel went full drag (well, half drag). Since most "For your consideration" campaigns are exactly what you'd expect to see—beauty shots of stars and their projects—the quirky ones stand out. Below, check out the newest ad for Fox's Family Guy, which has earned more than a dozen nominations in the past but hasn't won in the series category. The show's creators have gone from demanding a gold statue to trying to guilt voters into a nod. Will it work? We'll find out when nominations come out on July 14.
