Italians have had their hands full with Pink Hitler this week, but hopefully they have some indignation left over for another advertising controversy. This fetus-on-the-rocks image is now being used in a campaign urging pregnant mothers not to drink. "Mommy drinks, baby drinks," says the headline. The ads, plastered around the northern Italian city of Treviso, are in response to new statistics suggesting almost two-thirds of Italian women drink some alcohol while pregnant. The effects of small amounts of alcohol on an unborn baby are not definitively known, but heavy drinking has long been linked to fetal alcohol syndrome.
