We’re not alone in disliking the Gap ad featuring Audrey Hepburn dancing to AC/DC. According to this story, Donald Spoto, author of the just-released Enchantment: The Life of Audrey Hepburn, says the actress actually never got all tied up in her, uh, designer panties over the issue of fashion. He says, her position as a style icon "directly contradicts her own sense of values, which did not place clothes very highly on a list of important things." There’s no mention of whether Spoto’s record collection includes any AC/DC. Since we’ve all seen the Gap ad by now, the YouTube video above links to a remix of Hepburn dancing to the Isley Brothers "Twist ‘n’ Shout."
