If you’re averse to baby boomers, as some folks seem to be, consider moving to Utah. With 23 percent of Utahans falling into the boomer bracket, it’s the only state where boomers constitute less than one-fourth of the population. So we learn from a “Facts for Features” bulletin issued by the Census Bureau to mark the fact that the oldest boomers are turning 60 this year. Boomers are thickest on the ground in Alaska, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine, where they account for more than 30 percent of all residents.
