Scotch is made by dudes in skirts, says rum
Scotland is used to people making fun of their kilts. But a Caribbean liquor has managed to turn that timeless ridicule into an international incident. Seeking to lure local drinkers back to native rum (and away from Scotch whiskey, which is apparently big there), Angostura of Trinidad & Tobago has drawn some unfavorable comparisons between Scottish culture and its own, claiming on billboards that "In Scotland, men dance in skirts. In Trinidad, men dance with women in skirts." I think the Scots can get through this, though. If they haven't gotten upset about Groundskeeper Willy, then a nationalistic ad campaign for bad liquor shouldn't rile them up, either.
