Robin Williams and Daughter Pitch Video Game She Was Named After
In odd celebrity-endorsement news, Robin Williams appears in a couple of ads for Nintendo's remake of the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D video game. Even odder: Williams is apparently such a big fan of the Zelda franchise that he named his daughter after it. She also appears in the spots. That must have been a fun adolescence. The pair provide a much different atmosphere than what we usually get from video-game marketing, but it goes a little too far into schmaltzy, Disney-musical territory for me. In particular, Robin's "Well, you're both magical" line makes me want to puke in my soup. But so did Ocarina of Time, so maybe they've set the right mood after all. Second video after the jump.
