Mike Bloomberg threw a huge party at the B.B. King Blues Club in Times Square yesterday to kick off his New York mayoral re-election campaign. This morning we took a look at the campaign Web site, Bloomberg2005.com. Maybe we’re just used to the presidential-campaign sites—each of which seemed to have about 500,000 links, along with scores of photos, endless position statements and armies of bloggers furiously scribbling around the clock—but Hizzoner’s page is remarkably streamlined.
