Maybe I’ve been living under a rock, or not getting my Charles Bukowski newsletter, but I hadn’t heard about this movie Factotum until yesterday. It’s based on Bukowski’s novel of the same name, and stars Matt Dillon (!) as Bukowski’s alter ago, Henry Chinaski. Lili Taylor and Marisa Tomei are also in it. You can watch the trailer here (though it does have a brief not-safe-for-work scene). The BBC has a whole Web page devoted to the film, featuring interviews with Dillon and the Norwegian director, Bent Hamer.
