Lexus is back for the umpteenth year with its grating “December to remember” holiday spots, which pretend that buying a $50,000 car without telling your spouse first is not, in fact, a horrible idea. We’ve hated these ads for years, but this year we have to grudgingly admire them for getting even more obnoxious. Instead of just the giant bow on the car, now we get lots more enormous Christmas imagery—a giant gift box, giant stocking, giant tree and giant chimney.
