Two hot advertising trends right now: anthropomorphic hamsters and paper stuff that comes to life. This new Kodak video from Ogilvy & Mather, posted below, belongs to the latter (joining the NeatDesk monster and the New Zealand Book Council's animated pages). In the two-and-a-half-minute clip, called "Lost Smile," Marjolaine Siriex's artwork provides a storybook feel, and the mix of animation and live action from Paranoid director Sophie Gateau lends a pleasingly magical, art-film quality to the piece.
