How about this World Cup logo instead?
Like many of you, the Russian design agency Park apparently doesn’t like the official FIFA World Cup 2010 logo too much, because it’s gone and created this alternate one. (The link goes to a slide presentation of the leopard soccer ball in action.) “FIFA World Cup is the most important sport event for the mankind,” the agency explains in an e-mail. “The championship is not only sports action. It’s a significant cultural event, a worldwide festival. Each country represents a wonderful performance. It is a performance where each player acts the important role. Someone’s artful as a snake or strong as an elephant, and someone embodies speed, power and stamina like leopard—the symbol of Southern Africa. This animal has inspired PARK to create a new identity of the FIFA World Cup 2010.”
