All things French were back in fashion at a Washington, D.C., reception Wednesday night featuring the French ambassador Jean-David Levitte (shown here) and honoring the spirits of France. The kind of spirits one drinks, that is. As in Ciroc vodka. Or Meukow cognac. And, of course, anything Grey Goose, which is made from French wheat and French … well, you get the idea. As AdFreak enjoyed homemade foie gras and canapes at the ambassador’s residence, Levitte noted that America represents 37 percent of the more than $1 billion in export sales of French spirits each year.
