HBO’s new billboard by BBDO uses mannequin couch potatoes to illustrate the appeal of its Sunday night programming. Over the next few weeks the billboard, at 721 Seventh Ave. in New York, will sport a giant TV screen along with mannequins relaxing on sofas, “watching” HBO shows. Extra dummies will be added periodically, as they appear to lower themselves and their furniture down the side of the building to join the party. “Our subscribers like to get together with family and friends to watch our Sunday-night original programming,” Eric Kessler, president of sales and marketing at the cable channel, told the New York Post.
