It’s no secret that Dodge is out for the manly men, what with its chest-thumping pitches for the Hemi V8 engine and all. But I was a little surprised at the punch line for an otherwise unremarkable Caliber ad, in which a storybook fairy flits around New York City, turning skyscrapers into gingerbread buildings and subway cars into green-and-yellow choo-choos until her deflected attempts on the Caliber send her tumbling onto the sidewalk. Pretty much a big yawn, until a tough guy watches her smack into a wall and says, “Silly little fairy.”
