Botox wants to show us some emotion
So, this is a little weird … in its next campaign, Botox is actually going to confront the belief many people have that people who use it look like emotionless zombies. Allergan, which makes Botox, isn’t saying much, but the print and TV effort will be themed “Freedom of Expression.” Siegel & Gale’s Alan Siegel is quoted in this story saying the campaign could be a mistake, basically, because he thinks Botox does turn people into emotionless zombies. “I don't think it gives you freedom of expression, first of all, so I don't think it's believable.” Those who aren’t using Botox are now free to smile ruefully and chuckle.
