Boogie down at your own risk

Michaeljackson_3Michael Jackson has crossed a lot of lines in his—what's the word? colorful—career, but it appears that he's officially crossed a new one. This occurred to us not when we saw him in his jammies in court, but when we realized that playing his music in public now requires a disclaimer. On Saturday night, at a St. Patrick's Day benefit in suburban New York, the DJ had the temerity to play "Thriller." It felt kinda ... uncomfortable there for a moment, but a little less so when the DJ piped up and said, "Sure, the guy's weird, but he's made some great music." Still, we were awfully relieved when the song was over.
