Bobby Farrelly Directs :90 Super Bowl Ad for Samsung Galaxy Note 72andsunny spot will feature video shot with the phone

Samsung is going long in its first Super Bowl. In a lineup already packed with 60-second spots (mostly from auto brands), Samsung is prepping a :90 for the fourth quarter for the upcoming Galaxy Note—and the spot, by 72andsunny, will be the first ad ever directed by Bobby Farrelly (known, along with his brother Peter, for creating comedy classics including There's Something About Mary, Dumb and Dumber and Kingpin). There are no details yet about the ad's plot, though it's probably safe to assume it won't be overly somber. Samsung also says it's using footage shot by the Galaxy Note's HD-quality video camera in the ad.
