OK, this is the last time (probably) that we’ll run this
image of Joel Krupnik’s Bad Santa. Now that Christmas is over, Krupnik and his
partner, Mildred Castellanos, are auctioning off the blood-spattered, Barbie
head-severing Santa to the highest bidder
, with the proceeds going to charity.
Krupnik says he’s gotten a bid of $200 already; there’s a box next to the Bad
Santa where bids go. The bloody “decoration,” which was intended as a statement
to protest the commercialization of Christmas, was apparently the idea of the
couple’s 16-year-old daughter, based on a scene in the movie Silent
