Janet Stanek, president of Amherst, N.Y., ad agency Stand Advertising, is currently perched on a two-by-six-foot platform atop an Amherst highway billboard, in an attempt to raise $30,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Stanek began her Boss on a Billboard project, a 30-hour ordeal, at 6 a.m. on Monday. She’ll wrap up at noon today. Maybe some good-hearted exec could have just written her a check and saved her the gooseflesh and chattering teeth. One of the shop’s clients—say, the Fairgrounds Gaming & Raceway or Mount Airy Casino Resort—should have considered the PR possibilities.
