3-D Safe-Driving Billboard in Colorado Will Rip Your Head Off Or least blow your mind

This awesome two-part billboard for the Colorado State Patrol, from Amélie Co., proves you don't need graphic images of blood-soaked bodies to deliver a powerful road-safety message. However, mangled steel, or the impression thereof, does help. And this particular execution, like the agency's equally eye-popping effort last year for the same client, gives such car-nage added dimension. In the new work, a 3-D reveal vividly illustrates that "Tailgating a truck can turn any car into a convertible." Unlike the unfortunate occupants of that red vehicle, the folks at Amélie must have good heads on their shoulders. It's a great idea, any way you slice it. More images after the jump.
