University Uses Augmented Reality App to Recruit Students

Colleges and universities have a long history of creating eye-catching presentations to recruit new students. Today the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology has taken that to the next level.

They’ve partnered with the Nature Publishing Group to create an augmented reality app. Point your iPhone, iPad, or Android smartphone at the right logo and KAUST’s app will play a video which shows off the new campus of KAUST with its cutting edge facilities. You can click on the various departments and “talk” to virtual students.
