The popular UberFacts Twitter account has grown into a full mobile app, as iPhone users can now take the facts-driven database with them wherever they go. Instead of waiting for the platform’s Twitter account to post a new fact, users can browse through 10 categories, learning interesting tidbits about topics that matter most to them.
The app is updated with new facts on a daily basis, and is compared to a mobile newspaper. Users can browse facts across categories including science and technology, history, wildlife, film and TV, celebrities and more.
The UberFacts app offers images alongside each fact for easy “fact meme” sharing to multiple social networks, including Facebook and Instagram, as well as text and email. Users can also sign in with their Twitter accounts, and can “Like” and comment on facts they enjoy.
Within 24 hours of the app’s launch on April 19, UberFacts climbed into the Top 25 on the free apps chart on iTunes, and has placed as the top free entertainment app in both the US and the UK.
