Study Shows People Read Faster From Paper

The findings of a study by the Nielsen Norman Group found that reading speeds declined when switching from reading from paper to the Amazon Kindle, Apple iPad and PC. Mashable, who posted an article on the report. explained that the participants were given short stories by Ernest Hemingway to read in print, on iPads, and the Kindle. After reading the text the participants were given a questionnaire to determine how they comprehended what they read, and they rated the experience and gave higher scores for reading on the Kindle & iPad than on a PC.
