Lowe’s Releases the First Instagram Video Ad Timed to the Super Bowl (Adweek)
Instagram video ads are new for Super Bowl marketers this year, and Lowe’s purchased two spots focusing on how to play host for the Super Bowl. The 15-second clips were shot with Hyperlapse, a feature developed by Instagram last year that uses fast motion to stylish effect. Business Insider Nationwide ran two ads during the Super Bowl, but it was one that told the story of dead children that really got people talking. So much so that Nationwide has landed itself the ominous title of the most-mentioned advertiser on social media during Super Bowl XLIX, according to quickfire analysis from digital marketing technology company Amobee Brand Intelligence across Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. Adweek It appears that Budweiser was particularly aggressive in paid social for both Budweiser and Bud Light during the event. The brand bought Promoted Tweets against keywords from some of this year’s smaller Big Game brands, including Newcastle, Loctite and Mophie. Adweek McDonald’s, though, has really stood out. The fast-food slinger was tweeting like crazy about other marketer’s spots, and the messages garnered thousands of retweets.
