Richard Garriott's Ultimate RPG is spiritual successor to Ultima on mobile and social platforms
Game developer and private astronaut Richard Garriott is well-known for his three decade-long career in the video game industry. Now working in the social and mobile games field, Garriott recently explained why he believes mobile and social games will usher in the “third grand era of computer games,” and shared some of the first details on his upcoming social-mobile game, tentatively titled Ultimate RPG.
Ultimate RPG is being designed to appeal to both casual and core gamers, and is planned to launch initially for iOS and Android tablets, with social and open web versions coming later.
