Nicholas Negroponte Says Books Will Be Gone In 5 Years

Nicholas Negroponte, of One Laptop per Child, thinks that books will be gone in five years. In the above video, he discusses why.

CNN’s Howard Kurtz argues that books have been around for hundreds of years, but Negroponte points out that only for a limited number of people. “In when we ship a laptop to a village, we put 100 books in that laptop and we also send 100 laptops in,” he said in the clip, pointing out book distribution potential using digital devices.
