Mobile MIM for iPhone & iPad Approved by U.S. FDA: Remote Diagnostic Medical Imaging Tool

There are a number of interesting stories regarding iPhone apps that have been rejected or pulled from Apple’s App Store. Here’s a unique reason for an app being pulled from the U.S. iTunes App Store: the U.S. FDA (Food and Drug Administration) requested that a mobile radiology app be pulled because of regulatory issues in 2008. MobieHealthNews reports that app recently received an FDA 510(k) clearance and is expected to be available in the App Store in the near future.
