If you’re looking for a new mobile game to play this weekend, there are plenty of new options for you to try, including Crashlands, from Butterscotch Shenanigans. The crafting RPG challenges players to survive on an alien planet by defeating enemies, collecting crafting materials and creating new objects.
In addition, publisher tinyBuild has released Dungelot: Shattered Lands, a roguelike dungeon-crawler developed by Red Winter. The game offers 18 randomly-generated dungeons, as well as three endless dungeons for unlimited gameplay.
Are you looking for a different game to try? Here’s a look at some of the additional games released this week.
Sky Chasers (Free on iOS) – From Lucky Kat Studios, Sky Chasers asks players to help a young boy explore the world in his rocket-powered cardboard box. The ship’s battery depletes over time, but players can earn extra power by collecting coins in the world. Gamers can save their progress at checkpoints by spending coins or watching video ads, and also have the option to unlock all checkpoints for free with a $2.99 in-app purchase. Gamers can also unlock new ships as they collect coins.
Guardian Stone (Free on iOS, Android) – From Toast, the publishing brand of NHN Entertainment, and developer Delusion Studio, Guardian Stone is an RPG, which allows players to collect 69 guardians and clear over 120 dungeons. In each turn-based battle, players activate their heroes’ skills by tapping on buttons across the bottom of the screen. Players can collect new equipment for their characters over time, and can upgrade these items to make them stronger. Players can also upgrade their heroes by spending other heroes as materials. In addition to a single-player story mode, Guardian Stone offers player-vs-player and guild gameplay.
Super Flippin Phones (Free on Android) – From BlauwPrint, this arcade game challenges players to warn mall shoppers about an upcoming disaster by flipping their phones out of their hands. Players must lead shoppers to a portal within a cardboard box to evacuate them from the mall, and must avoid mall cops as they play. Gamers can unlock multiple costumes for their hero, as well as two additional difficulty levels.
Panzer Waltz (Free on Android) – From Happy Universe, Panzer Waltz takes players to an alternate timeline during WWII, where technology has allowed man to be mixed with machine. Gamers take control of a team of Metal Maidens, young women who can ’embody’ six different kinds of tanks, each with their own strengths. The game features squad-based combat, and includes both single-player and multiplayer gameplay.
Lords of Discord (Free on iOS) – From HeroCraft, Lords of Discord is a turn-based strategy game, which challenges players to rebuild their castle and recruit an army to restore their empire to its former glory. Players can construct buildings in their kingdom and hire soldiers for their army, and can equip their soldiers with new equipment as they progress. Players can also conquer neighboring territories to earn regular income over time. In addition to a single-player story mode, Lords of Discord includes player-vs-player battles.
Rayado: A-maze-ing Challenge (Free on Android) – From FarbWorks, this physics-based puzzle game asks players to help a disk move through a maze environment by drawing deflector lines on the screen to change the disk’s direction. Players spend blue energy to create lines, and can collect more energy as they play. The maze is filled with obstacles the disk must avoid.
Super Awesome RPG ($4.99 on Android) – From Boomzap Entertainment, this RPG allows players to customize multiple heroes, with each hero’s equipment determining the skills they can use in battle. During battle, players tap on action tokens on the game board, and can create chains of tokens to activate combo attacks. The game offers a separate dungeon mode, in addition to the single-player story mode. Super Awesome RPG is also available to try in a free Lite version on Android. The game is coming soon to iOS.
Spike Run (Free on iOS, Android) – From Ketchapp and LuceroTech, Spike Run is an endless survival game, challenging players to help a cube survive by tapping to lower spikes in the cube’s path. The cube moves forward automatically, and spikes quickly rise back up after they’ve been lowered. Players can collect gems as they progress, and can spend these gems on new playable characters. Players will receive free gems as gifts over time, and can earn extra gems by watching video ads when these opportunities are presented.
