Marmalade Juice aims to simplify iOS to Android porting

During this year’s Game Developers Conference (GDC), cross-platform game development company Marmalade Technologies announced the launch of Marmalade Juice, its iOS to Android porting tool. Marmalade Juice gives Objective-C developers an easy path to port their apps from iOS to Android devices, and is available as part of all Marmalade licenses.

Marmalade Juice aims to reduce the time and costs necessary to create games for multiple platforms. Once integrated with Marmalade, the cross-platform SDK allows developers to maintain a single codebase for their app, which gives them the ability to target even more platforms in the future.

“Adding Marmalade Juice to our powerful SDK means that at last developers have an easy way to extend from iOS to the now dominant Android market, using technology from a company that has grown up with mobile gaming,” said Harvey Elliott, CEO of Marmalade Technologies.

“The release of Marmalade Juice underlines the long established aims of Marmalade in ensuring that operating across platforms can be a sustainable strategy for the developer and the industry as a whole.”

Marmalade Juice is now available in all Marmalade SDK packages at no additional cost. To celebrate its launch, the company is offering Marmalade Community licenses for free for a limited time (that’s a $149 value). Head to the company’s website to learn more.
