Limbo, Brightkite Merge Location-Based Social Networks
Location-based mobile social networks Limbo and Brightkite have merged to create what they say will be the largest location-based social discovery service. The new entity, which carries the Brightkite brand, will focus on helping friends “increase face time and share real-world experiences.”
Limbo CEO Jonathon Linner is CEO of the new Brightkite, while Brightkite co-founder Martin May has taken on the role of EVP of products.
The combined company has two million unique monthly users signed on for its free service.
