Layoffs at Digg
Uber-news aggregator is cutting 10% of its workforce. The news comes a month after CEO Jay Adelson took off to pursue other entrepreneurial ventures.
Co-founder Kevin Rose, who took over from Adelson, said in an email to employees that this was “one of the hardest decisions [the company has] had to make recently/.” But, he said, “it is the right decision for the long-term health of the company.”
In the same note, posted to the company blog, Rose said Digg would be staffing up on engineers: “They are critical in getting us to where we need to be for the future.”
