Facebook’s introduction of its revamped News Feed in March was aimed at emphasizing images, and the social network continued along that path, announcing that images for page post link ads are now four times larger on mobile and eight times larger on desktop.

The social network said in a post on its developer blog that images that are at least 1,200 pixels by 630 pixels are optimal for high-resolution devices, suggesting a minimum of 600 by 315, and an aspect ratio of 1.91-to-1.
